Though dangerous looking, the Mercenary is a friendly NPC that is bored while waiting for their next job, and will challenge you to honorable combat to pass the time. Subsequent duels will also reward you with more brigandine - making dueling him a lucrative encounter. This knight will offer a challenge - if you beat him, you can earn an expensive piece of armor, the Dyed Milanese Brigandine, or you will have to pay up if you lose. You can decline, or fight until either of you submits. Here you'l find an area in the center that's otherwise inaccessible, and a chest here holds the treasure. The other Knight, unlike the Faint-hearted Knight, is a much tougher opponent, but like the former, will challenge you to honorable combat. Look among the thicket here for the crumbling walls to slant downward, creating a ramp you can walk up to move along the tops of the walls. When the road forks, hang to the left and look along a clearing for a crumbling stone ruin with a large archway, and head through. Use a spade on the dirt pile you find there to locate a pair of skeletons along with the treasure.Īncient Map 4 is similar to the second map, as it depicts an area above the town of Rattay along the Sasau River, along the same road leading towards the second map's treasure.Īs before, head up from Rattay Mill across the river and turn West on the road until after you pass the Woodcutter's Camp - depicted by the pile of logs on the map. You'll want to be in the top right area of the pine trees on the map to locate the treasure. If you're having trouble finding near the edge of the woods Henry is allowed to explore, look on the map for a clump of pointy pine trees on the map, to the right of a dark splotch on the map. You'll want to look for a giant stone jutting out of a clearing in the woods, and the mineshaft with the treasure lies just on the other side. Around this area, keep looking along the road until you spot a cross on the road.įrom the cross, head into the woods moving straight Southeast - which may require you to dodge around clumps of trees.
Take the road past the Woodcutters Camp, and keep riding along as the path winds up and down, until you reach part of the woods where there is a small stream up to the North of your position.
The drawing is fairly condensed, as the river in the map is not the small stream near Rattay but the large Sasau River, and the path above the Rattay Mill leads along a very long road heading into the deep woods of the Southwest corner of Bohemia. Ancient Map 2 can be a bit misleading, as it shows the town of Rattay and a river, and a mineshaft in the woods Southwest of the town of Ledetchko.
